I'm a teen that would like to start scrapbooking over the summer. Can I get some advice?

I've decided that this summer I'd like to get my butt off of the computer. I'm 13 and my mom does not scrapbook, but we have lots of photos.

So far I have some puffy stickers, speech bubble stickers, some paper, and markers (not sure if they are acid-free).
Oh, and I don't need a paper cutter because I'm just starting out and my mom can cut perfectly straight. I have many downloaded fonts, so I can print out some cute lettering if needed. How much do 12×12 scrapbooks usually cost? And sheet protectors? I will probably go shopping at the local scrapbooking store.

And does printer ink have acid in it? Is it safe to print things out and use them in my scrapbook?

What else do I need? Any random tips? I've been to many websites and would just like some advice from Yahoo! Answers users that have experience.

HI< I think you need to check the sunday paper for a coupon to either A C Moore or Michaels. You can use that to pay only half ,for one of the things u might want. Also watch for sales on the 12X12 paper at those 2 stores. You might want to start with doing a scrapbook on your last school year. Take some pictures of your friends at school, and start with a nice picture of the school it]s self ,to put on the opening page. Be sure to put the name of the school ,and the grade you were in under the picture of the school.. Always put dates and names under each picture.I would be glad to send u a few things if u would like, I have so much stuff that I would be glad to send u some things. Just e-mail me a address to send the things to. my e mail adress is williencharlie5@aol.com Just remember, the scrapbook is YOURS, so do it the way that you would like it to look .Maybe u could even get a girlfriend or 2 to join you in this wonderful craft. I'd go to the library and get a book that will answer all your questions and a kit to start out with. You're 13, mom shouldn't be doing you cutting. Good luck!

Since you already have a lot of photos plan your pages out,colors and looks that way you don't spend too much at the store. Just know it's costly to scrapbook but a lot of fun

You could look for free scrapbook classes or clubs in your area. If you join a club you get to shear paper, stamps, ink, stickers and other supplies. Plus you will be able to get ideas from the other people in the club.

If you are in or around North Miami the "North Miami Public Library 835 NE 132nd St." has got free classes and a club. For June the club mets on the 9th and the class will met June the 23rd. If you are interested you can contact me at tkcrazy@yahoo.com
