You can use anything you want as far as decoration. I use anything and everything I can find. I like to use construction paper, tissue paper, various printed paper, wall paper swatches, and much more for backgrounds, frames, borders and more. You can also use things like brads, ribbon, and other decorative pieces to bring your page to life. There are websites you go to for beginners or you could go to a local scrapbook store they often have in store classes. As for the rest you kind of just learn as you go. That's how I started and I love all my pages.
