What is a really cool homemade anniversary gift?

We have our 10 year wedding anniversary coming up in a few months, and i am trying to think of something I could make for my husband. Have already done a scrapbook, embroidered him a little wrist rest for the computer, and made him a bird feeder a few years ago that matched the house. Any ideas? I am pretty good with computers, calligraphy, photography, writing, weaving, cooking, baking, sewing, embroidery, and basic woodcarving and carpentry. We have loads and loads of wood barn beams, old oak and hickory planks, and stuff I could build with, since we are tearing down a 125 year old barn. Any ideas?

since you have a barns worth of lumber…
you could build a bench with a roof over it for you two to sit in together in the yard (they have books full of insructions at home depot) as a matter of fact they have books full of insructions for everything.(and I am sure you could find directions on-line too )
Maybe you could weave him a hammock if you can crochet?
or you could build a tiki bar for him in the back yard

Find a magazine rack at a flea market. Then go to ebay and in the category "Magazine Back Issues" under "Books"–search for some magazines for the year and month you were married.

Tenth year gifts:

"Celebrate number 10 with tin and aluminum gifts, if you're sticking to ancient tradition. Place your gift in a pretty aluminum bucket from a gardening store, or choose an antique toy made from tin; aluminum is also used these days for modern-looking lamps and picture frames."

Go to Wal Mart and buy one of those posterboards that's got the rigid foam in the middle. Then get a nice 5×7 or 8×10 of the two of you for the center. Around that, make a collage of pictures of your 10 years as husband and wife, and throw in a few of the dating years. You can cover your collage with clear contact paper or get a glass cut to size, then build a frame from some of your wood scraps. I did one (minus the frame) for my husband as a wedding gift, but I included pictures of us both from birth on.

Build up a stockpile of pictures of both you onto your computer. Do a color print onto cloth squares. Put squares together for quilt, computer cover, back of a couch. The printing can be done by specialty camera stores.

My sister-in-law made quilt of her child's special moments, baby pictures, etc… & made a quilt with the graduation picture in the middle. She did this for each child's graduation. It was beautiful.
