I am a quadriplegic and I would like to make a scrapbook of my daughter to give to my mother for Christmas. I can not use my hands but I do have a voice activated computer. I need to find a website where I can upload photographs and add beautiful layouts and captions or quotes. I would rather find something free but I would pay a small amount if it is worth it. I would also like to find a website where you can either print it off and maybe put it in a binder but I would like to have that option to maybe have it professionally published or binded. Thanks so much for your help!

My friend is a Creative Memories Consultant and they have a website where you can create a custom scrapbook online and publish it too.

I don't know her personal link, but here is the generic one.

ADDED: Oh, I should mention, while it is not "cheap" I've seen one she had printed and bound (published) of her children and it turned out fantastic. Well worth it.

I am not sure what response you've got so far, but it sounds like you are well versed with computers and perhaps already know that our computer has become the new shoebox!

Here's a fact: In 2004, close to 200 billion images worldwide were captured, shared and received by digital camera users, but only about 21 billion of those images were printed so I applaud you for your efforts!

Creative Memories has a wonderful tool (free!) where by you can download a number of templates (which are interchangeable). YOU design the layout, the number of pages, the type of font and color, edit your images and more.

The finished product is a professionally bound album (many options are available) that you will not want to part with and that your mother will be proud to show off to her friends, neighbours and colleagues!

Hope this helps!

Go to the "Shop Products" tab and scroll down to "Digital" From there, simply click the"Storybook Creator" and the free "Downloadable themes" – that's where you can get your free templates as well as a tutorial!

Top Line Creations now offers something like this in addition to their digital scrapbook software. You can share online or have it printed. They have great themes for different looks for your book. The printer is one of the few that are approved by the Library of Congress for one off printing of books.

It will be avaialble to the public on September 9th.

It is much better to use Adobe Photoshop, install it and open the files, then, drag the images where you want them to be.
